New Jersey Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have plastic surgery? Who did you go to? I'm worried about what my stomach will be like after surgery. I've had 3 kids and 2 c sections so I feel like I will have skin that needs to be removed. ( praying that it bounces back)

Just want to get an idea of who's good in jersey and the about cost for things!!!

Wow, congratulations. I had mine done Dec. 8th. I feel good now, but it was a bit painful the first three weeks. I was actually quite depressed the first few days after I got home. But I think it was because I was so uncomfortable. Now, I feel great. I am down 30 pounds since my first doctor visit. It feels amazing. Let me know if you need anything. Good luck.

Dr. Bertha did my surgery. I highly reccomend him. 2 weeks post op and I feel great! He went right through my incisions from when I had my gallbladder removed which I was thrilled about! So far so good with everything. So glad I was referred to him

Anyone had their surgery in Overlook hospital? Were you allowed to have your spouse or someone stay in your room overnight?

I had my surgery at overlook. I had someone stay with me overnight. I didn't think it was necessary but it turned out, I did feel better having someone there.

Hello all. I had my sleeve and hhr repar on january 28th with dr greco at southern ocean medical center. Going into it I was only expecting a 2 night stay which turned into a 4 night stay. Too much swelling, couldnt get any liquids down. But as far as pain, they did give more than enough pain killers. I was walking a couple hours after surgery. The staff there and the nurses were so amazing. They went so far above and beyond for me. A very big thank you to them, they made the experience so pleasant for me. I did have lots of pressure when I sipped Water of those sponges on a stick at the hospital.

I have been home for 5 days and it was extremely hard to get liquid down and keep it there. It came up more than it stayed down. At least the first 4 days. I did find a diet orange icee did go down easier. And stay there. The protien shakes make me sick. Tried 6 different kinds. Immediately come right back up. Today is the first day I made a little headway with fluids. Finally. Today is day 8 going into day 9 post op. Finally water and iced water slowly sipped stays in. Woohoo. The last 7 days were very difficult and seemed like I would dehydrate.

Rustynail, I consulted with dr Greco but dr Reich is doing my surgery at SOCH 2/24. I am sorry to hear you have had such a hard time of it, glad you didn't have any serious dehydration issues!! Do you know what size bougie was used for your surgery?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
