I think I have a problem....I lifted my daughter because I had no choice. She had an accident and I had to get her cleaned up at 2am, well this morning I started to hurt inside my abdomen and it's a stinging/burning feeling and it hurts to bad to want to drink anything so I think I might be getting dehydrated. It's not my incisions, it's my insides like 2 inches to the right of the largest incision (to right towards the middle of my stomach. I am afraid I did something bad. It hurts to move around or get up:/ I don't know what to do.

I agree. You need to speak to whoever is on call.

I just called my doctors office and left a message with the answering service to have the doctor or nurse to call me.

Another problem....I had a full bottle of the liquid pain meds because I haven't been using it and ended up spilling all but half a dose. The bottle is the type that has a top that you stick the serenge in and dispense the meds that way, well when I went to take it out of the top, the top came off and I spilled it:/ what a day.....

I am two weeks post op tomorrow. I feel fantastic until I forget and take a big gulp of something or think I can eat a bit more than I can. It isn't that I try to force food in, it's just that when I get full, (which I always am) but I need to try to get some food in, I get really full and it hurts. There is no way I am getting in enough Protein or fluids. However, when I eat yogurt, I can eat the entire container, although it does take me at least 40 minutes. I eat 90% of the food I eat each day at my office at my desk. I went back to work on day six. I have felt great since two days after I surgery. I have looked for Protein Powder and I can't find it locally. The only I nes they have are either vanilla or chocolate flavored. I usually make Protein Shakes with it, almond milk and frozen strawberries. I will have to do it again and freeze half of it for "ice cream" and drink the other half. My goal this week is to make plenty of good pureed foods. I am just so sick of pureed. I want to eat food. I've only had two instances of dumping, one caused diarrhea and the other just lots of pain. I got a tiny piece of crab stuck and that I had to bend way over and force it to come back out. I tried a rolo today (sucked it so it dissolved) just to see if sweets would not sit right with me like most people. Unfortunately it was just fine.

I don't go back to the doc until the 23rd. That is when I get to go to soft foods. Then I am on those for six weeks. I just want to be able to eat small amounts of normal food and drink my Water the way I normally do. The

I hope everyone has a better day tomorrow. Today I had tuna and it was good. I did not have any trouble eating it. It is really hard to not drink when you eat and chew chew chew makes you not want to eat. We have to think so much about every bite. However I am grateful for the ability to eat. I just have to remember to take it all slow. I am glad that my doctor is not a rigid with my diet, she lets you do pureed/ soft just as long as you chew chew chew. So that's good. It has helped improve my attitude.

CVS sells a liquid Tylenol type medicine. I took the medicine the doctor gave me for 2 days then took the CVS brand extra strength liquid pain medicine for the next few days. I have a hard time with strong pain medicine so I didn't want to stay on the hard stuff longer than I had to. The CVS brand is GREAT! It really helped me!!Hope it helps!I am 4 weeks post-op today. Eating soft foods. Feeling great!!! Actually better than I thought I would sooner than I thought I would!!Week 1 I was STARVING!! Week 2 I was nauseated!! (If I tried to drink too much Protein Drink or Water at one time.)Week 3 I was TIRED!! All day, every day!! It sucked!!Now, in week 4 I'm doing great. I have only dumped 2ce in 4 weeks and both times I knew I was full and had another small bite. LESSON LEARNED!! LmaoI read a lot of what people on here talk about but I'm wasn't really sure how to respond. I've only posted a couple of times by luck I think. Lol

I will pick some up tomorrow. I am calling my doctor first but the liquid Tylenol would be a good back up. I have a high tolerance for pain meds because I have an extremely low pain tolerance...

Thank you sweetheart! Me too, I was so afraid:( i feel a little better today and even shared a serving of mashed potatoes with my daughter for my dinner (we couldn't share her chicken lol.

BTW, I read a lot of you guys talking about drinking Gatorade for hydration, my doctor told me not too because there is too much sodium and will cause me to retain Water. He instructed me to drink pedialite instead. Just thought I'd share.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
