She didn't weigh that much to begin with, if I'm right - so maybe it's because she had a lower BMI that the loss has been slower? Also, maybe her sleeve size was larger - my doctor did my mom's larger when she had the revision because she didn't have that much to lose.

I say the more the merrier! I hope everyone who wants the surgery will have it. It has changed my life and I can't imagine where I would be right now without it. So Rosie and I had our surgeries around the same time...she didn't let me know :)

Rosie - good for you!

I'm happy for Rossie. Everyone loses differently at different speeds, and maybe she didn't want to be 150lbs. Not everyone's goals are the same and we need to respect that. I think she's doing great and she'll get there if that's where she wants to go. Don't think Its fair to say shes not doing well or what she should be doing. It's a marathon not a sprint. I say good for her.

Whatever like I said it's an observation. I know the diet that I had to be on before surgery was 18-20 lbs. it's just sad that she's only lost 40 in 7 months

IMO its incredibly unfair of anyone to judge another based on how much weight they have lost post op and guess that they must be doing something wrong. I only wish her the very best and welcome her to the community. I think she looks healthy and happy and I'm sure she feels great too. May she continue on her wellness path! If I were someone on here reading through the threads and wasn't "measuring up" to the fast losers or someone else's opinion of how fast I should be losing weight, it sure would not make me feel very good. Even if I was doing all the right things.

As far as Christina I have no idea if she had any kind of WLS. Does anyone have any further information on that? If so that's awesome! :)

So now anyone who loses weight, we'll speculate to have had WLS??

And on this forum of all, you're going to judge 40 pound weight loss as Sad??

a bunch of hypocritical backstabbers some of you are...

Rosie, Gov Christie or just any Plain Jane with similar stars can be lurking here and instead of suggestions, support and empathy, we got a buncha former fatties on their high horses.

Such a shame ....

yeah i agree. i think 40 lbs is great to lose but to be honest Id be a bit upset if i had sleeve surgery and only lost 40 lbs since July. I wonder why she isnt losing more? i guess we all lose differently. it certainly isnt easy.

Some people just lose slowly. I'll hit my three month surgiversary next week and I've lost just over 20 lb. Am I disappointed? Yes, but still...it's a loss. I'm vigilant about calories, but it is what it is. Some of us just aren't ever going to lose quickly...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
