I'm entering my 7th week post op and I am stuck at 264 pounds. I realize I have lost a lot of weight but on the other hand, I don't understand why I haven't lost any this week. I am averaging 665 calories a day. I am getting about 70 gms of Protein and I an hitting the 64 ounces of Water. I am working out three to four times a week and burn an average of 400 calories each time. How can I not lose weight? It makes no sense to me. I am aware of stalls and I did have one a few weeks ago but it didn't last more than a few days. It's hard to keep motivated when the scale doesn't move.

My guess is that you are eating eating too few calories for the exercise you are expending or you are gaining muscle and although you aren't losing atm you are getting smaller because a pound of muscle is smaller than a pound of fat.

Stalls will happen. Sometimes longer than others. With your intake/workout, it is impossible to not lose weight. Don't worry your body is just catching up to your previous loss. It will start dropping again. Just try to notice other things going along with your weight loss. You are for sure losing inches! Maybe lock up the scale for a week or 2?

Hang in there, stalls are going to happen. As stated previously, it is impossible not to lose the lbs. if you maintain your current intake/workout routine. Keep it going!

Good luck.

you will loose more weight. Keep doing what you are doing. Your body has gone through a LOT over the last few months. Be kind to yourself, keep up the momentum, weight loss will happen.

I just finished with a 2+ week stall. And now I'm losing again, but it is not very much. It's just going slow right now. It's so frustrating when it's happening! But we have to take comfort in the fact that we are doing what's right and our bodies just need some time to catch up.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
