How did you document your journey?

Recommended Posts

I utilize the forums for documentation. Not sure if I want my friends, family, neighbors, etc., to know what I am doing, but it's helpful to share wins and losses on these sites.

I agree with Blade. It depends upon how much you are willing to share with the public community. Of course, I don't know you or what your history is, so I am just generalizing here using myself as a guidepost.

Is it just a general, superficial share, or are you willing to go into the depths of your (possible) addiction to food and root cause analysis as to why you became morbidly obese? Are you willing to share the low parts of your journey when you discover you are not able to abuse food and use it as a coping mechanism as you (may) once did?

I think it is great for those who can do this. Like Blade, I have used the forum to share my struggles and achievements as I know these people understand as many have traveled the path already.

creative way to document my journey.

Jaclyn

blogging/you tube are great thoughts :)

scrapbooking is an interesting idea too

take a couple of before pictures

then continue to take pictures monthly

also take your measurements before and during your journey

before WLS - i was all set to blog, then po i started, never kept it up

one year PO - thought i'd start.............now i'm 2 years PO

wish i had kept records of what was going on with me all those days

main thing i will never forget is being in the hospital on valentines day - can never forget that date!! ;)

bottom line..........do as i say not as i do :)

good luck next month :)

speedy recovery

kathy

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
