Does your husband/boyfriend love plus sized woman? And now?!?!?!?!?

Recommended Posts

This is my major irrational fear...for there are many but this one is a serious concern for me..

I've been with my husband for going on 18 years, since the 10th grade and even then, he has always been a fan of the heavier women. He loves my size, he touches me constantly and holds me close every chance he gets...My fear is that he will secretly not admire me the same. If I know his preference and I do this surgery, am I setting myself up for issues within my marriage?

If your husband loved you thick, have you noticed any differences since the weight came off??

I just feel like this fix will be physical and now I will be faced with so many mental challenges...

Aww, you look lovely together.

My man likes chunkier monkeys. But then, he fell in love with me - for me. I have often asked him about how he feels about my losing weight. He has often replied 'look at the smile on your face, that's all I care about'. Accompany this with his infatuation with patting my bottom....

I can only assume he's still happy!

If you're worried, talk to your man honestly and openly. I wish you the best of luck :) x

Trust me when I say that your husband hasn't spent 18 years and his entire teen to adult life with you because he likes the "thickness" of you!! He loves the you that is inside. :)

Thanks!! i talk to him but he always says it won't matter but men are such creatures of habit and visuals...I've never even seen him look at other women and I feel if I was to catch his eyes straying now, it would hurt me deeply...But you're right, he does love the smile on my face now just thinking of it so maybe it will all be ok...thanks again.

By the looks of it, it looks like he loves you. I am African American and know that some of our men love healthier assets. My man does too. He always says, "from the tent to a g-string it don't matter." That cracks me up but for some reason I know that he will have my back through it all. Some men are fascinated about the confidence that some of us big girls exude regardless of our size and it may be a turn-on to them. They find it sexy! Looks like you have a lot of that and that will probably not go away with a smaller frame. ;) However, I suggest you begin to have that conversation with him now just to eliminate one thing off the plate. No pun intended :)

I am a man who preferred a slim woman, then changed to a man who preferred a chunky woman, then changed back into a guy who preferred a slim woman.

Yup...same woman.

My husband is happy as long as he gets to grope my boobs or bum no matter the size of 'em.

I had that conversation with my gentleman friend of seven years. I asked him if he felt that he would lose anything if I lost 100+ pounds. His sweet response was that he just wants me to be size "healthy". My surgery was 12/23/2013, and he has supported me in every way that he can.

If your man loves you, then he will love you any way that you come.

I agree with the fact that men love confidence that women have no matter their size. I don't discuss insecurities nor do I show them, and if he finds out, it won't be by me.

When i met my husband i was almost wearing a size 14 and he completely fell for me. While we were dating i gained about 35lbs and was wearing a tight sz 20 at my heaviest. Now i'm almost in a sz 14 again. I feel like his interest in me has remained the same. He loves my curves, but at the same time he wants me to be healthy and happy.

Plus even when i was thinner, i always had decent sized boobs and an ample behind.

So unless i lost a disgusting amount of weight and got down to like 100lbs or less, my big boobs and ample behind are here to stay.Sure, they'll be smaller, but so will the rest of me, so it's not like i'll go from a curly fry to a shoe string. When i was 150lbs i wore a C cup and had thick thighs and a nice perky backside.

I think it'll be the same for you. If you have generous curves now, you'll still have them when you are smaller and really it's the curves most men love. My husband loves to put his hands on my shrinking midsection that is starting to go in and become a waist again and is like "whooo, look at you! Mmm, mmm, MMM!" He also grabs/smacks my backside (playfully) and seems to enjoy as much as when it was an almost 14 as when it was a 20 going on size 22.

Thanks guys, I guess, my concern is not if his feelings will change but do you notice any change in the norm of how you're handled or dealt with?

If you know he's always loved big women and even during sex he makes comments about loving my weight because a "skinny" girl would break in two...and i believe it..lmao!!

I guess I just hope things don't get awkward in that department..remains to be seen!

but needless to say, we talked about this last night and he said, I was that small when he met me(165lbs) and he honestly has always seen the same 15 year old girl and I've never changed in his eyes so the mirror will continue to always be in my own 2 eyes...that helped alot..I love that man!!

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
