  2. I agree with the fact that men love confidence that women have no matter their size. I don't discuss insecurities nor do I show them, and if he finds out, it won't be by me.
  3. Thanks Ladies, I agree with you. I am doing this to become healthier. No one else influences what I need to do. With that in mind, I will stay focused. Once again, Thanks..
  4. I mentioned this to 2 of my co-workers and they talked about all the people they know who died from Gastric Bypass. So, I told them I wouldn't do it. I immediately started feeling discouraged. I have a sister who is supportive of me and a friend. Sometimes, I feel as if I could get approved for a Panniculectomy, I will skip weight loss surgery. When I was pregnant with my twins 20 years ago, the lower part of my stomach was messed up which is called the pannus. I do pray and make sure this is the right thing to do and yet I am positive that loosing weight will benefit me in the short and long run. Being over weight hurts the entire body and mind.
  5. I have United Healthcare of Alabama. I have not gotten any dates for Pre Op testing yet. I guess the Coordinator will call me after the Holidays to schedule me for everything. I am nervous and excited and so looking forward to weight loss...lol
  6. I have started my process on Dec. 17, 2013. I have sent for my packet from the surgeons office, but since it is the holidays I have not received anything yet. Are you self pay? Just wondering because my process will take place over 7 month which is what my insurance company require.
  7. as long as you are passing gas, you may just be constipated. If you are not passing gas along without having a BM, then there may be something else wrong.
  8. Does anyone know about United healthcare and their protocol for approval? I have not called them yet but I have read their website and it seems as if their process is similar to others..
  9. I am a divorced mother of 5 children and a grandson. My youngest are 20 years old. I am a CNA in the hospice field and a full-time student going for Medical Office Administration. I began to gain weight after I got married and I struggled to loose eight and keep it off over the years. food became my friend and confidant...lol. A girlfriend of mine told me she was getting sleeved earlier this year but I was too busy trying to maintain employment. After my feet kept hurting and clothes kept getting bigger, I decided to slow down and take a second look at myself. I started researching the sleeve and decided to start my journey 12-16-2013. Here I am with an attitude to be beautiful, successful and happier!! Oh, and to wear lots of sundresses...lol. And healthier..
  10. During the summer, I went to Six Flags with a friend and her children, when I tried to get on a ride they were on the bar wouldn't lock across my lap and it was painful so I couldn't ride...lol. My feet hurt no matter how much money I pay for shoes that are comfortable. I work in the hospice field, therefore I walk and drive a lot. Finally, I started to gain more and more weight, buying bigger clothes, feeling full all the time, looking and feeling unhappy about how I am feeling. Nuff said...lol
