So I respect those who don't drink coffee but I have never had a problem drinking it and have never come across a good reason to quit. The only problem for me was the empty calories so I decided to make it healthy. Every morning I drink about 12 ounces of coffee with 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/3 serving of Unjury chocolate splendor Protein Powder and 1 tablespoon of unsweetened chocolate powder. This has about 80 calories and 11.5 grams of Protein. It is a perfect way for me to start my morning any still get in some protein. You can also jazz it up a little if you get bored by adding half a peppermint. candy or caramel and it only adds about 15 calories.

I'll do you one better - the coffee and espresso Protein powders!! Click and Chike are two popular and delicious brands, fewer calories and carbs and higher Protein so you get to have MORE COFFEE!!!!! :D Throw in a splash of sugar free Torani or dainci Syrup and it is indistinquishable from the calorie bombs at starbucks

I heart coffee :) I'm drinking it now, and I drink it every day. I have a cup black in the morning, and usually once or twice a day I'll have a cup of flavored coffee. I try different Keurig cups with different Creamers. pumpkin spice coffee and Creamer, Winter carnival coffee with Salted caramel mocha creamer are two of m faves. It really helps curb my appetite, so the 30 calories I spend on creamer is worth it to me.

Globe, I also love the Chike iced coffee, but since it's well below zero here in Michigan, I'm sticking to Hot drinks for now! Do you drink it hot?

Disclaimer - I'm a year out, and I didn't drink any coffee for the first 6 weeks. Also, I do not take Vitamins near the time I drink coffee so I don't have an issue with absorption.

Yes I do drink them hot - my trick is to make a "concentrate" cold and then add in either hot Water or steamed milk, that way it prevents the dreaded Protein powder curdle-chunking that often happens when you try to make PPs hot.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
