Don't feel bad. I'm barely above the BMI cutoff to have surgery and today my doc told me to not lose anymore weight. He said I could eat a regular dinner tonight and tomorrow but I didn't do it because I don't want to. Weird, right? I am afraid it will make me overdo it. So I had an extra greek yogurt and will add a fourth shake to my days. Ugh.

Omg. I feel like I'd be so torn on that. Yes go out on a high (food coma) note, or be a food kid and follow my diet... Oh god. The angel and devil on my shoulder would have a good fight about that!!

And I cooked dinner! My meatloaf. I had a few bites but didn't have a full meal. A few bites of meat, then yogurt and a shake. I know I will overdo it if I give in.

What's crazy is that now that I'm detoxes of sugar, caffein and carbs I'd be leery of having them again Bc of the dang headaches. They were bad. It was such a sickening headache. But I'd have prolly had a huge steak. Lol

I'm so proud. And F if meatloaf doesn't sound like the best thing on the planet. My dad never made me it one last time.. I'm gonna have to have him try turkey meat for me sometime. (He makes the best meatloaf. I won't even bother lol)

I'm at the 35.1 BMI and just eat what I want till surgery. People say you can't have this in the future. I tell them w/in a yr I can have anything if I want it but it will be in much smaller quantities if I will even want them. food is what got me to this size and I sure don't want to get back to this weight ever again.

1 wk from tonight it will be all over and I'll be on the road to a healthy weight. Yahoo!!!!!

Remember when I was telling u about mine? It was like the first 2 or3 days. You were feeling good and I was fighting the dang headaches.

I'm also at 35 BMI. Haha. It's a funny place to be in the bariatric surgery world.

But... If the food is what got you here in the first place, why would you want to eat it even in small portions???

Hi Sherry, we've been daydreaming about food. And alcohol.

Yes. I think it's another reason I was paranoid I was doing this diet wrong. Lol. It's just been so "easy!"

:( that sucks! I had one yesterday, but I don't think it had anything to do with detox/this diet.

I'm gonna try my hardest to change from my old eating patterns. From pre-op diet on. When I said goodbye to pastas and breads and potatoes and fast food and fried foods... I meant it. My nutritionist says for long-term, sustained weightloss that I need to walk away. So I am.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
