Pain compared to c section?

Recommended Posts

I've had a c section and was up and walking within hours. For those that have been sleeved AND had a c section, would you say the pain was comparable? Better? Worse?

Having had two c-sections and some of the "worst pain in the world" ailments, kidney stones multiple times, gall bladder, and back surgery. My sleeve was not bad. You will have some pain, but it isn't anything that pain meds won't take away. There are not that many nerves in your stomach area so minimal pain.

If you have had your gallbladder out, and did not have any problems with the CO2 gas used, chances are your sleeve will be the same

I had a band to sleeve revision in one procedure. My surgery took two hours. I had surgery on 10/25 and was home on 10/27 Monday, 10/28 was the last day I used pain meds and I do not consider myself to have a high pain tolerance.

I had TVT surgery on 11/4 and now have TMJ and both were worse than the sleeve surgery.

Good luck. I hope I see a post from you post-op saying it wasn't as bad as you imagined.

I thought that the pain/discomfort with the sleeve was worse, but I think having a new baby was a really great distraction with my three c-sections. :-)

Sleeve was worse than c-section with twins. More nausea and gas too.

Everyone is different, some people will have pain and some people will not. Unfortunately I was in a lot of pain and with pain medicine any pain will go away.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
