January fitness challenge

750 yards swimming. Really was not feeling it. Fluff...I know you can relate to this since you swim regularly....but it hurt my broken toe to kick my feet in the freestyle. I could do side stroke and breast stroke with no pain. Those frog kicks didn't seem to bother me. Unfortunately I suck at breast stroke....and both of those strokes are more tiring to me so I did not get my full distance. I hope I can return to running in a couple of days. Meanwhile...here's a little piggy that is nicely swollen.

OMG BUTTER!! And you still go on...you're my hero!

Poor Butter. I can relate. I was thinking you might try to buddy tape that, but I'm not sure if it would work. Does your pool have swim fins? It might hurt like a b***h to put them on but they would probably support that toe.

Even so, 750 m is completely respectable, especially doing uncomfortable strokes! Good for you.

Maybe try taping across the foot, just to support it?

Man, Butter, that looks painful! Does icing it help? Maybe taping the toes for support?

OK, so I've still got bronchitis and a really nasty cough, however I made myself use the treadmill got in 4 miles before I felt like dying, couldn't make myself go to the gym(on the plus side we're having a huge snowstorm so I think they closed early anyhow) so MTD- 6 miles

My goal for January is 16 hours of exercise. I'm hoping to start c25k too, but that will depend on my back getting/staying healthy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
