Feeling sorry for my self...pity party

Recommended Posts

So in June I start the process I weighed 565 over the last 6 months I've gotten down to 490. Did a 4 week liquid diet, surgery was yesterday, they got in there and could not complete surgery. Feel like giving up. I want this but don't know if I can do it anymore.

Don't give up! You have already done great - over 70 lbs - wow! I can appreciate you are disappointed that they couldn't do the surgery. Did they say why? Are they going to try again?

Poor you! I lived in fear of this (I think we all do!) Thinking of you and hoping for a better outcome next time. But seriously, you've done so well thus far...

they could not get my abdomen extended enough to see the stomach, and with my weight it was to dangerous to open.

I understand the disappointment.. I know what's it like to work hard at something only to have a roadblock thrown in your way.

There are many days when I feel like I'm swimming against the current. And well, it gets tiring....

Take your day and feel sad, you have good reason.

But don't give up! Like I said, you have done so well getting that weight off, keep doing what you are doing diet and exercise wise. Be strong, fight the feeling of defeat and let them try (and succeed I'm sure) again.

You have every reason to feel disappointed. But, you have done so AMAZINGLY well on your own leading up to this.

As much as it hurts; head down, grit your teeth and attack this monster.

You can do it.

Slay this dragon and you'll soon be in for round two and this time, it will happen for you.

My thoughts are with you x

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
