Got naked, nobody died of shame...

  • Popular Post

Well, after 3 years on my own following the break up of a 30 year relationship, at the weekend I finally got naked with someone I have lusted after for years....

He didn't run away screaming at my wrinkly, saggy bits. I took my clothes off - ALL OF THEM!!!! And the world didn't end, he didn't laugh and I didn't die of embarrassment.

Something for me to add to my list when people ask how my sleeve has changed my life - I can do naked :-)))))))

Sorry if is is tmi, but I actually never thought at 52 that I could throw my clothes off with such abandon and without stressing -oh how I love my sleeve!

It's great to come here and "hear" the things that I have been thinking:)

I was really unsure about posting this topic - but I am sooooo glad I did. Yet again, it's good to know I am not the only one struggling with something that should be a normal part of life. And talking about it definitely helps (once I got over the initial embarrassment!)

Lipstick, photo evidence? Em, that's probably a selfie too far - but when I get up to the confidence levels of sophiepants and Chellemetime, you'll be the first to see the pic :-))))))

Here's to us!!!!!

I hear ya sista! You go girl. I understand completely.

I was a size 8 when my hubby and I married 9 years ago, but then I hurt my back moving a patient. One thing led to another and I wound up a size 22!

2 months after my sleeve I'm down to a size 16. I'm not yet ready to "have the lights on",but hubby is. ????

I'm comfortable in my gym clothes, but I'm not ready for "neked" yet. Maybe after another 20 lbs or so.

Not TMI at all but awesome! Healthy sex is just that... healthy. Hope you had a good time and this starts the process in healing the bad body image a lot of us hold in our minds about ourselves.

Oh yes, had a very good time ☺

I would to see more open communication about the real stuff we r dealing in our lives with pre and post op ..this post hit the naili. A naked truth of our fears and the victories we overcome by taken care of ourselves.. Loved, loved, loved the post indigo.

CGJ, I love your story and can relate to it so closely.

You may not be meant to be with this man forever, but look at the gifts he's given you. People are in our lives for a reason or a season or for life... He's your man for this moment.

You put your finger right on it when you said you lost feeling like a woman. I feel like I just got that feeling back... and it is so exciting!!!!

Oh, and besides that, he's HOT! :)

You guys are soooooooo NASTY, and I LOVE it! lol Seriously though, since I'm not in a relationship right now (on purpose), I've been pushing my naughty feelings down deep so I can dig them up later. I really need to start taking care of me first before I let someone in again, and based on what you guys are saying, IT'S GONNA BE GOOD! lol "Let's get it on, let's get it on...." (singing to myself:)

CGJ - this one's hot too.... It definitely helps :-)))))

Good for you on the new guy. It must have been hard after such a long relationship but I'm glad you found happiness and intimacy. No guy worth anything would laugh at a naked women he is interested in, unless she wore a Minnie Mouse mask.
