Excitement and worrie

Recommended Posts

Hello all. Well yesterday I had my meeting with my surgeon. He was helpful and we are on track of what we need to do. I have just about everything set up except my official surgery date since I do not have the insurance yet we are waiting to make sure it covers it. He had told me to lose 10-15lbs and I was just so excited about getting everything started it didn't sink in with me that it might be hard to lose some of the weight....I know it's not a lot but I'm afraid to let him/me down. What I am thinking is starting an Akins diet right now.....and cutting out pop like all sorts of pop. Does anyone have any idea's that have worked for you?

Yes, Adkins can work. Hints:

Reduce caffine

Reduce all carbonated drinks, even diet

No smoking (right!?)

Cut down/out simple carbs and sugars

Be as active as you can be

And all will happen as it should...

Are you going through a weight management center? Have you seen a nutritionist yet? They can give you loads of ideas.

I stopped drinking pop altogether, I stopped eating all fast food, and all fried food. I cut way back on Desserts, like maybe once every 3 days instead of every day. I replaced my high sugar desserts with no sugar added fudge bars which i do not feel like i have to ration even now that I am post op as they are only 40 calories and actually have some Protein too!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
