finally after all that running around I got a date. Im scheduled for January 20th, 2014 with Dr Koshy at St Lukes Hospital. Thats in NY. I was expecting a sooner date but he will be on vacation on December.

I am so glad to finally have my date. what about you guys? anyone else has a date for January?

I am set for January 14th in Alabama. I was suppose to have it done over the Christmas break but insurance issues came up. So I am now on day 3 of liquids. I feel ok. I haven't cheated. I am very nervous about the surgery but I have come this far and know it is best for me.

Me too: Jan 14 also. I am on low carb high protein high fluid diet and the weight is dropping off right now. Making up for my Christmas "Last Supper"!! My pre-op testing (ECG blood etc) is tomorrow. It is good to know a bunch of us are in it together. I'll be thinking of you here in Chicago!

This is kinda cool...we should have like a July 2014 reunion thread, and celebrate where we all are after our first 6 months!!

I started my clear liquid preop diet today. Doing good so far, kinda hungry though. The low sodium chicken broth with a scoop of chicken flavored Unjury protein powder is pretty satisfying. Surgery is first thing Wednesday morning. Can't believe how fast the surgery date came up.

Hello everyone I'm set for Wednesday the 8th in San Antonio TX. I feel excited and nervous at the same time. Not so much nervous for the actual procedure but the adjusting afterwards. But I have lost 12lb on my pre-op diet so I'm very hopeful

I'm in the airport ... Surgery tomorrow

First day of my 7 day protien shake and salad pre-op, Then three days of clear liquids before surgery on the 16th. Not a lot of fun, but I'm ready !

Had my EGD today and begin my preop diet! I was very nervous for the EGD but it was fine, my throat hurt a little afterwards and the anesthesia made me sooo sleepy, I slept the whole day afterwards. The hospital was nice, it's where I'm having my sleeve done so it was cool to get to see it beforehand. It's all starting to seem more real to me.
