My date will be either 26th or 30th. Start pre-op liquid diet tomorrow. Hate that my dr. wants 3 weeks but it has to be done.

It is broth. I got both bowls down with no problem, then another two later. The Jello and Popsicle didn't work for me, but I tried an Italian ice today, and that seems to be fine. Maybe the artificial sweetener in the Popsicle and jello were what killed it for me. I've been taking in lots of Water, and today I've been moved to full liquids. Having puréed chicken noodle Soup and Tomato Soup now. Leaving the hospital in about an hour. Hooray! Can't believe I'm finally sleeved!!!

Yes girl!!! I cnt wait for mine

As I've been browsing threads, I'm thinking the restrictions may not be as bad as I've built them up in my head. I do love sweets but I found a pumpkin cheesecake mousse you add Protein Powder to. I'm ready to be healthy so it'll all be worth it. And we are all here to support one another. I can't wait to see December sleevers progress pics!

Hey Luminous -- checking in with you to see how it went. I'm officially sleeved! Surgery was easy peasy, and I've been doing good since. Actually getting lots of liquids in, so that's good. Had a difficult time with sugar-free Jello and sugar-free popsicles, though. Not sure if it was the texture, weight/volume, temperature, sweetener, etc. whatever it was, I couldn't handle more than a couple tiny bites of each. I'll try them again at a later date when I have no swelling in my teeny-tiny belly. :) I've attached a hospital selfie and a pic of my first post-op meal. :). Be blessed, everyone!

I'm alive! I woke up in a lot of pain begging for it to stop. Turns out I metabolize pain meds very quickly. They had difficulty keeping me sedated during the procedure. So for me the first 3 days were very painful since pain meds don't offer me relief. Today is better, gas pains are all but gone. I am just having a hard time getting my H2O in. Its 4:30 pm and I'm still working on my Protein shake from this morning. Its painful to swallow even tiny sips still. One the sunny side I've lost 6lbs already :) thanks you for your support guys! You are an awesome group of people!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
