My date is Dec 20th, Today is the last of my pre-op testing. I have anxiety but no one to share it with besides this group. I feel alone, ooh! Only my immediate family and my closest sisters know I'm about to make a major change in my lifestyle but they can't relate, one sister is morbidity obese, but has yet to consider surgery. I'm sure my surgery will be transparent to most of my close friends as I'm the "chef" and I won't be cooking for sometime. Good luck to all, happiness comes in many forms and I choose to be hopeful, healthy and happy.

Hello from South Texas,

My surgery is December 11th. I go for my pre-op this Thursday. I did cheat one time and that was because I hadn't prepared. I need to take a cooler and a shake with me if there is ANY chance I'm going to be away from home for more than a few hours. I don't know how much weight I've lost but I think some--my clothes are looser. I don't weigh myself--that's the doctor's job. My job is to do what I'm supposed to--One Day At A Time.

My date is 12/17. I will be heading out for my preop appt. with my surgeon in about an hour. Guess I will soon find out when my all liquid diet will start.

Hi- my surgery is Dec 16 so I started my 2 week pre op diet yesterday. I'm really confused, there seem to be so many variations of this diet. I don't remember being told no caffeine or soda. Does anyone know why caffeine is a no no?

Hello everyone,

I am so excited and happy for everyone beginning their journey. I will be having revision from band to sleeve on Dec 30. The day after my birthday. A great birthday present to me. I have had my band since 2009 and have had nothing but issues. I did have weight loss but gained it all back after the birth of my beautiful baby boy. That is when the problems with my band started. Excited to get the band removed and live a normal life without the pain from my port or the fear of vomiting with every meal. Good luck everyone!!!!

Caffeine can cause dehydration. My nut has said very limited caffeine and no soda ever again. I guess each dr is different.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
