I had the lapband placed in 2009. Several issues with it & discovered I had a hiatal hernia along with esophageal dilation. Had band removed & was sleeved on Dec 30th. One day after my 38th birthday. I feel great. Was a little tired & weak in the first few days. I'm doing a lot better. I work as I nurse in a busy ICU & returned to work after 2 weeks.

Hi everyone. Here are my numbers: HW: 252 (day of surg Dec 30) CW: 236 GW: 175 I'm happy the scale finally moved even though it's just a lb. Increasing my fluids helped.

I have suffered with migraines and even woke up with one the night of my surgery. I take Imitrex 100mg and it works wonders. I use to even take the shots but decided the pills are better for me even though they take about 45min to kick in & work. I've tried every other migrain med & this has been the best for me. Good luck!

I don't know anyone else who's had this surgery. All my friends had lapband & had them removed. No other procedures. They all gained a ridiculous amount of weight back.

Did he lose a lot of weight? What was his time frame? Worried because I'm going to Miami this summer and have had issues being uncomfortable on those damn planes

Me too. Nervous. I will try small amounts. I think we have to do purée then mushy

Omg there's no way I can last another week. Think I will try some egg salad. Ugh this is the pits

No. No soup for me. Not really a fan. I'm ready to advance to purée. Think I will try some hummus. Are we suppose to go another week on liquids? Torture!!

That husband was the worst! Totally not supportive. I felt sorry for their daughter who had to witness the treatment her mother received from him. She needs to get away from him or their daughter is gonna be screwed up later in life. The cycle repeats itself sometimes.

I've been doing the sugar free jello since the first week out. Let me know how you make out

I tried some Fage yogurt today. 2 ounces. Had no problem & felt full. Our doc is very strict compared to others who are in the same stage as we are.

Hey I'm good. Feels good to have the staples out. Still surviving with my shakes. How about you?
