Is Pizza Band Friendly.

Recommended Posts

I make a pretty good veggie pizza. Was just curious if it can be tolerated. Thanks

I agree with Missy. Small bites and go slow.

I can eat all foods, some foods require more chewing and smaller bites.

Enjoy your pizza.

Vsries from person to person...I can no longer tolerate it...have not had pizza in over 2 years....

BTW, I used to eat an entire large Pizza all by myself....have the T-Shirts to prove it....now I cannot get through a single slice without problems....that is what the band has done for me....

I could not tolerate pizza when I was in the green. I COULD technically, but I never ate it slow enough or in small enough bites!

I will normally have two to three small bites slowly and then just eat the toppings.

In the good old days 6 to 8 pieces were the norm.

Even though I eat less I enjoy it more because It takes longer for me to finish the 4 small bites and the topping off one slice then it took me to eat the 8 pieces.

I have pizza, but try not to have the crust. I'm still on a more Protein based diet. I feel as though I've cheated because it taste so yummy but I didn't. :D

Like B-52 said, varies from person to person, and in my case day to day. Some days if I go slow enough I can get through a piece or two, other days it is a guaranteed clog. To the point now where it simply isn't worth the trouble.

I'm with Terry on this....not worth it for me. I COULD eat pizza I suppose, but rarely try it anymore. Certainly not something I miss.

EAT MORE FISH! :)

I have eaten pizza with no problems at all. But I decided it is not in my best interest to eat all of that dough as it kills my blood sugar.

I have found that I can eat a slice or two of pizza, if they are small. Small bites! However, the crust makes me feel miserable, so all I concentrate on is small bites of the pizza and toppings. I also have found that it has to be a thin crust slice.......I used to love sicillian pizza (Thick crust for those of you not from the northeast), but those days are long gone.

Lastly, I find that if I ask for extra sauce it makes it easier to handle.

I find that pizza is one of the few foods I can eat at the ballpark. Most everything else at a stadium is served on a roll and those are horrible to me now.

As others have already stated, just take your time and chew. I eat pizza every week. Love it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
