Fill question

Recommended Posts

I had read somewhere on this board about fill instructions. What to eat the day before as well as the two days after to get the best results for a fill. I have been searching for three days and can't find that post.

Does anyone know where it is?

THANKS!!!

There isn't any instructions that I have read prefill. I think my doctor has me stop eating 2-3 hours before my fill. He also puts me on 1 day of liquid, then mushies then solids to bring me back to normal. Good luck.

Hi Melissa,

Unfortunately, there's zillions of old threads floating around here. Here's a thread that deals with fills/adjustments. Maybe there's a conversation in this thread that strikes a bell..?

My other thought is that your fill doctor should have rules/guidelines for you to follow! you may want to ask his office this question?!

Thank you both for your responses. I had my fill on Thursday. I only had a Protein Shake before going in. My doctors instructions were to have liquids that day and then slowly start eating foods the following day. It went well, didnt hurt. So far no restriction, but I had read it can take a week or so after to feel it. I hope I do.

It's best to follow your surgeon's instructions since there is no consensus. Mine want fluids the day of the fill, a soft diet the day after, and then back to a normal diet the following day. Yes, it can take up to 2 weeks for some people to feel the effects of a fill.

I am totally surprised. I was told today that I could have eaten a meal this morning or had my coffee. It did not matter. I did not. He gave me the second fill. 3ccs.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
