Men, pre-op weight of 300-330lbs

Recommended Posts

I'm being sleeved soon. Men with a pre op weight of 300-330lbs, what is your ultimate maintenance weight? How long did it take you to get there?

I am 305 and I'd like to be about 230.

Thanks

Not a man BUT my husband had the sleeve surgery too! We both had it. He started the journey on 12/19/12 at 330 pounds and is down to 230 and has been stuck there for a month or so. So, basically it took him about 9 months to lose 100 pounds. He still would like to lose another 30 or so but is very happy with his progress. You will do great!

I am still pre op as well. My start weight was 362. I am now at 330. I still have a couple things to complete but hoping to have surgery in December. I have set a personal goal of 230 lbs. (I probably have not been at that weight for almost 30 years). But it is a very good question about setting expectations. At this time I would just like to make a great effort and end up at whatever the number is

I started out at 347 and got sleeved on 10/31 at 321. My goal weight is 220 with some decent muscle mass. I'm sure you can achieve it if you try.

I started pre-op at 325 in October 2012 and had the surgery after all the tests May 28th this year at 293lb, after five months I am at 215lb and still going down about 2lbs a week. Not sure when the balance will be reached so I would think 230 should be reachable if you stick to the diet program.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
