My name is Kathleen and everyone started calling me Kat a few years ago. My maiden name is the Polish word for cloud and my married name is the German word for shepherd.

Random thought-

Maybe I should change mine to my "hooker" name.

Name of first pet: Tina

Name of first street I lived on: Smithfield

TinaSmithfield. Has a nice ring to it.

I originally wanted to be Sleevie Wonder but it was taken. I just wanted anything that would replace Stevie with Sleevie. (reason still unknown even to me) So the only Stevie I could think of that particular evening was Stevie J. He was a very talented hip-hop music producer in the late 90's but has since fallen from grace and is now a lowly reality tv "star". I realized immediately after creating my new moniker that I would have much preferred to be known as Sleevie Nicks. BTW today I replaced the wasted cat pic with a real photo of myself in a fake cowboy hat!

My real name is Laura' date=' but i have been an Elton John fanatic since 1074. Seen him in concert more than 150 times...[/quote']

Like since the beginning of time. It looks like you might be really old....hahaha. Just teasing you. I love EJ too, but not a fanatic like you.

OK, I had to interject that my hooker name would be Birdie St. Jude, which truly does sound hookerish. LOL.

My name comes from the word "bonafide", which means authentic or true. My name is Bonnie, hence the bonniefide. I'm bonniefide on everything... email, Facebook, tumblr... everything. :)

"outwithbenjiboi" is a handle I've used since 2005, when I came out of the closet to my family, friends and colleagues as a genderqueer, masculine-identified butch. "Ben" is the "boy/boi" I should have been, and the name of my inner child that I'm re-parenting into the strong butch that I am today.

Benji -- the nickname for young Ben -- has been busting "out" in myriad ways my entire life. This surgery is just one more way that's happening. And my handle is the way I continually give credit to Ben for his courage and for all of the decisions that have made me whole.

Everyone calls me "JB:" initials that stand for my given name + my chosen name -- "J"en/"B"en.

Hope this doesn't blow too many minds.....

I wasn't too creative and probably a little bitter when I came here from the lapband forum.

By the way, we don't call it a "hooker" name; we call it a "drag" name. And mine is "Freddie Elk!"

My wife's is awesome: "Brandy Redberry"

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
