My favorite soft foods meal was meatballs with homemade sauce. I seasoned the meatball the way I always do: salt, pepper, lots of fresh garlic, parsley, egg, parmesan cheese, a little bit of bread crumbs. I also let my sauce simmer for a long time in order to get the most flavor. I would measure the meatballs to be exactly 1 oz. I would also just make sure that I could mash the meatballs with a fork and douse it with sauce. It was the best thing for me at that time! It was packed with Protein and easy on my stomach. Also, some people make a ricotta bake. Which is ricotta cheese with sauce and baked in the oven for a few minutes.

Is the "pre op" a mistake? Did u mean post op? I dreamed about my first soft food for 4 wks (I live with the food nazi and I knew he'd tattle on me to my dr if I cheated even 1 day early). Went grocery shopping and had everything I needed for the big event. I microwaved 1/4 cup refried Beans topped with a pinch of shredded sharp cheddar, taco sauce with a little dollup of sour cream. Best thing Id ever eaten.

The following 4 wks I ate alot of eggs, mashed pots, canned tuna and chicken, tilapia, Beans, and cheese. After that 4 wks of aoft foods I enjoyed my 1st salad. Wow. Was it yummy...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
