Hey all! I just wanted to give you a quick update on how I'm doing. I'm doing so much better! My surg put me on Prilosec 40 twice a day and Protonix twice a day. it took a while but that did the trick. I'm doing better with eating and holding most everything down. I went for my first walk today and had some dizziness which I'm wondering if it's my potassium. calling doc tomorrow about that. thank you all so much!!!!! I truly don't know what I would have done without you!!! God Bless!

That's awesome news! I'm glad you are on the mend!

Wow. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm not taking anything for pain so I think I can rule that out. I'm just so sick of vomiting. As a nurse I know that I need to stay hydrated and get my Protein in, but I feel like I'm taking 1 step forward and 5 steps back. ugh.

I had a very similar experience. I was sleeved on June 26th 2013, and for 10 weeks I suffered from constant vomiting and nausea. I had to have two endoscope procedures with dilation after my original surgery and it seemed like things improved after that. But it was a long process and I had "buyer's remorse" for those 11 weeks. I am now 16 weeks out and I am so pleased with my journey so far. I hate vomiting, and still do maybe once or twice a week(progress). But it is so much better. I just think some of us take longer to heal after surgery. Be patient, stay in touch with your doctor if the vomiting persist and don't get too down. Just keep sipping, and eating Soups, Protein Shakes etc..... Hang in there, it is going to get better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
