I do believe you should follow up with your surgeon. It could be you can't handle the consistency or the item yet, maybe you aren't chewing well or eating too much but that is what they are there for. I have only vomited once, because I took my Vitamin on an empty stomach and I tried like crazy to prevent it, but it was too late.

At 11 months out I still vomit..Not as much as I used to though....Last night is the perfect example...i was upset and sat down to eat my dinner....1 bite and I felt like my stomach closed shut......I vomited up that one bite and stopped eating...

Now if you are having trouble with some foods..You find them heavy on your stomach..give it some time before you try them again..It could be that your sleeve cannot tolerate it at this time....

11 months out and I cannot eat beef or pork or Chinese food :( My personal favorite...Well it used to be....Happening once is not an issue...but if you find it is happening a lot...Get it checked out. Meanwhile if you can, drink some Protein shakes as a replacement for the lost food...gotta keep that Protein up kid!

I have been sick 3 or 4 times in 5 weeks. I am not eating anything bad, I have mashed vegies one of the days. I think that I ate them to fast, thats all I can put it down to. 5 weeks out and I am doing two Opti a day and frozen yogurt ice block for dinner. My Doc just said to eat slow and watch the amount.

Yes it is. It's because your getting use to food again and your body can't handle certain foods anymore. That's what happened to me anyway. I stay away from speghetti noodles and hamburger meat it makes me sick. If I eat to fast I will also get sick.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
