How Much Had You Lost At 7 Weeks Out?
wow this is so good for everyone. I to am now a slow loser, lol. I started at approximately 230 and am now 185. I lost the first amount of weight quite quickly, and the last 5-6 weeks maybe 5 or so pounds, but a loss is a loss. I am happy if it keeps coming off. Well done sleevers

Is it normal to vomit sometimes?
I have been sick 3 or 4 times in 5 weeks. I am not eating anything bad, I have mashed vegies one of the days. I think that I ate them to fast, thats all I can put it down to. 5 weeks out and I am doing two Opti a day and frozen yogurt ice block for dinner. My Doc just said to eat slow and watch the amount.

New post op water troubles
I am the same, it took me a good week and a half to really start taking a good amount of water. You have to remember that your stomach is swollen d=from the surgery, Just do tiny sips, have a bottle next to you, so you know how much you are drinking daily. I am now 2 weeks post surgery and can now almost do 1.5 litres. I am getting there, but don't push yourself.

If you still struggle afterwards, why do it?
Hi healthygal, I just wanted to answer one part of the question, "why not just do all those same things with all of your stomach intact?" I did all these things with my stomach in tact, and lost no weight. I did 8 months of boot camp, whilst having my diet monitored by a personal trainer, numerous attempts of diets did not work for me. Unfortunately, nothing changed. I did not go into this halfheartedly, this was a chance for me to regain life - confidence, health and happiness. I am only 7 days post op - But I needed this as a tool to assist me with my weight loss journey. You answered one thing for yourself here "I'm a nurse and know what I'm looking at if I stay at this weight." Good luck with everything, whatever you decide, you will make the right choice for you. Everyone is different.
