I had my surgery around 9am this morning in Mx with the amazing Dr. Alvarez. This has been such a good experience so far. I flew into San Antonio, where I was promptly picked up by Dr. Alvarez's driver Rosie. She was very polite and informative about all the questions I had about Mexico given the fact that I have never been here before. When we got to the dr office we meet Dr.Alvarez. He was so wonderful and down to earth. I volunteered to go first so he met with me in his office and discussed my health. He told me of how he performed the procedure. I was then taken for bloodwork and chest xray. Then put on a bed and hooked to an iv...they gave me something to calm me then I woke up in my room and the surgery was already done. The nurses here dont speak english well but Jesus and Jessica are always around and speak fluent English and Spanish. Jessica is a total sweetheart, I really do like her sweet demeanor. I have had no pain, just random mild discomfort. That may change tomorrow with the introduction of water and clear liquids. I will write more tomorrow and update how I feel.
