  1. This was a month and a half before surgery and now
  2. Hi everyone!! I was pretty faithful to this site for a while and strayed away when they changed it. It's a nice reading everyone's posts and seeing how far you have all come. My surgery was on 9/11/13. I'm now 6 mon out and 75 lb down. The biggest advice I could give is truly believe that everyone loses all their own pace. I have weeks were nothing happens and weeks that I lose 2-5lb. Eating has been an adjustment and so is getting in all the protein but it's all possible and the surgery is well worth it. I had so much nausea and vomiting my few days after surgery I wondered what I got myself into!!
  3. I am in olean ny had mine done sept 11. Was 295 at my highest and am now at 220 6 mon post op. Best of luck!!!

    My Walmart doesn't have pb2
  13. Its crazy how we all lose at different rates. I try not to get discouraged. I am about 5wk out and my scars look ok. I think maybe next year they'll be pretty faded. I am 2hr away so don't attend any support groups.
  14. How's all of our buffalo friends doing? I'm five weeks out and 33lb down with the pre op diet. I feel like a slow loser. But some weeks I lose a few pounds. Some weeks I hand and some I lose a pound

Thanks for all the great ideas. I don't have much in my town but I'll hunt Walmart again for the pb2. Its one thing I have been meaning to look into. I need to snack in between too so I can get all my protein in and I was told 6 small meals a day.

Yummy yummy!!! Afraid of the high fat and low protein snacks is what put me at eating the same things. These are some great ideas.
  17. I'm interested as where at Walmart as well

I am wondering what kind of snacks everyone is eating? I found some trail mixes are pretty good for you and nuts. Along with yogurt and sugar free popsicles. I have also stocked up on string cheese. I would love to add some more things into my life that have some more protein content in it. Sometimes the same things get old. I bought a few protein bars that had lots of protein but tasted horrid
  19. I just bought a few protein bars to try but I have a stock of cottage cheese, string cheese, tuna, fish, crab meat, and eggs. I also found a decent trail mix which is fabulous and yummy for protein. I am constantly reading labels at the store now!
  20. I had a stall 3wk out. I also started tracking my calories, carbs, and Protein intake. I noticed I wasn't getting my protein intake. Once I upped that my next week I had an awesome loss.
