  1. I'm 8 days post op and haven't seen a scale since surgery but noticed my clothes feeling looser, I lost 14lb on my pre op diet. Tomorrow is my first follow up and I'm excited and nervous to see since I'm used to the scale going up. I'm afraid if I bought a scale I'd obsess. At this point I have decided I will only weigh in at the doctors with my follow ups. I hope that's a good choice.
  2. Mine was heavier with the blood thinner. But I started bleeding the 7th. I'm still bleeding today. It is getting lighter. Hoping it'll be gone soon
  3. I'm sure it's the swelling, fluids, and gas they pumped into you. I'm 6 days post op and haven't looked at a scale!! I'm pretty addiment I'm going to wait til the dr office
  4. I came home, picked up my 3 yo from the sitter, and watched cartoons. Everyday since on the weekdays it's her and I. The great thing with your children's age is they can get little things from the fridge, potty themselves, and even relax with you! I think you'll do great.
  5. Also peanut butter on popcorn is AMAZING, this used to be one of my favorite treats when I dieted and exercised before and makes bland popcorn better!
  6. My taste is so different already!!! It's weird
  7. I've read so many horror stories how people have lost weight and their relationship suffered or failed. How about all the ones that have re amped!!! I'm an optimistic person and would love to read about some.
  8. It seems like I can smell everything and its driving nuts!!! Even the few things I've tasted have changed in taste!
  9. I think that's where mine is headed. As long as I'm not alone in this I feel a bit better. I've never had a normal one since my tubes were tied anyways, but never this long either.
  10. I see lots of period questions on here but not sure if I have seen this. Have any of you went into surgery with your period and how long after surgery did it last? Getting blood thinners while being a patient obviously didn't help my matters any but I feel like I have had a period for forever and it isn't decreasing. I'm 4 days post op and had a period 5 days before going into surgery.
  11. My husband was against the surgery too until we had a heart to heart deep conversation and I expressed my feelings. He still was not thrilled but was supportive. He may be concerned because so many people think if you're skinny you'll leave them or want someone else. It's all about insecurities. I'm sure he's also worried about your health. Surgery is pretty intense and scary. I also had my own doubts but it was mainly death due to some of the forums that I have read. I'm a few days post op and tell myself when the pain is all gone and the weight starts shedding that it'll all be worth it. Sit and talk with your fiancé and maybe a close friend that isn't judge mental. Best of luck in your choice.
  12. Better by the day!! Still discomfort which I expected but really I think it's trying to figure out these gurgles. The gas seems to have mostly subsided and I'm guessing the leftover pain is from surgery. If only I can sleep throughout the night!!
  13. I'm a fresh post op and was told to restart my vitamin d. Feel better soon!
  14. I tried the choc premier and really liked it!! I had to put it on ice because its so thick and I dislike the smell but other then that no complaints!!
  15. Today is day 3 and slowly gettin better. I can't wait for it all and the nausea to be gone. I feel like a zombie.
  16. How many days after surgery did you have gas for? I'm on day 2, and the gas is killing me (maybe not literally) but it feels that way. I bought gas x which is allowed, I also took a Percocet (first time in well over 12hr) I've walked and walked and walked. I am getting my sips in. Yet this gas is horrid.
  17. I'm home and ready for gas x and sleep!!! It's amazing how they cut into you 5x, take out a huge piece of your belly, staple you god only knows how many times, and here all I have complains of are gas and I cannot wait to get rid I it because it hurts so bad!
  18. I just got home about two hours ago. As soon as my husband gets here I'm headed to pick up my scripts and some gas x in which the dr gave me the ok. I don't really have much and pain, more of lots and lots of abd discomfort from the gas.
  19. I'm laying here in the hospital and after walking I realized mine are lots and lots of gas pains. Who would've known they would feel the same!!
