Finally, a date...and I don't mean with George Clooney.

Recommended Posts

Just got off the phone with my surgeon's office and I have a date! November 20th! Yeah! I am very happy about it, but George Clooney would be nice as well. ;) At least one of those things will be a reality. :D

Thanks all for the support! To tell the truth, I am torn between George Clooney and Hugh Jackman, but since Clooney is from my area, he is the more likely candidate. :D (By the way, if you had told me at 16 I would think a guy named Hugh or George would be a heartthrob, I would have thought you were nuts.)

And proudgrammy, you are a tease! But I will have my own version of George there. At least my husband looks like George Clooney...in the dark. But my husband is much sweeter and just as handsome to me. :) I have lost 45 lbs since February, and 36 since June, when I went in for my initial consultation. That is due to MFP and the gym.

I have to say I had a slide back moment last night when I said my final goodbyes and broke up with chocolate stuffed Oreos. But I was still under calorie for the day. And it made me realize how much I need this surgery to help with staying on track. Ironically, I lost another pound this morning when I woke up.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
