I'm 10 weeks out. I aim for:

100 - 120 grams Protein

As few carbs as possible

Enough fat to get my daily consumption up to 900 - 1000 calories.

Almost 9 weeks, 5' 4 1/2", my nut has me shoot for 80 g Protein, 60 g cabs ( no more than 20 at one time), 30 g fat. This comes to around 800 calories.

I'm almost 6 months out and I am around 1100 calories, 80-100 g of Protein, 60-90 g of carbs (can go to 120 but prefer not to) and fat is usually around 35-50 g.

I agree CowgirlJane^^^^ Just try to get in as much fluids and Protein as possible. You'll get to add more as you go it'll all fall into place I promise!!! I at 7 wks get 80-90 g protein about 700-800 cals. Good luck lady:)

2 weeks out from surgery one thing I have become very aware of is what is in food especially Protein ; finding milk that has 2x the protein, Greek yogurt, off the shelf shakes. It has become a detective game but learning a lot from it. My colleagues at work want me to teach then what I learn about foods when I return to work. This has given me a goal to learn what I can and have it be a part of my life from now on!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
