3 days on the liquid diet, down 10.6 pounds!

Recommended Posts

Doing the Optifast liquid diet: shakes and Soups, can have SF Jello & low fat yogurt. Man this is the hardest thing I've ever done but keeping busy seems to make things easier. How's everyone liquid diet going and how much have you lost?

Hi! My surgeon is also Dr. Zare. I am scheduled for Nov. 26 to be sleeved. How's the liquid diet? Is it super hard. Where can I purchase them? Let me know how the surgery goes and what your biggest obstacles are. Good luck!!

You are right, the pre-op diet is the hardest part! Once you get through this, it wont be as bad! Just keep on keeping on and do what you are supposed to be doing and keeping busy and the days will pass quickly and before you know it you will be post-op dieting. Keep up the good work!

Hi ya, the liquid diet isn't too bad. They ease you in the beginning first replacing Breakfast then lunch then full liquids with only healthy foods so I just ate salads. They'll give you the shakes so no need to purchase. You can have everything I listed earlier and they recommend just Water and Crystal Light so that's what I've been using. It's tough but I've been distracted myself with work, also I binged like crazy before starting so I guess I fulfilled my cravings and I'm now super focused. Also the Jello and yogurt has been a huge help.

All in all, tough but doable

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
