I have really bad menstrual cramps at that great time of the month. I was wondering what I could take that I don't have to crush or swallow any pills Is there any sort of liquid form of midol or pamprin? Any help would be greatly welcomed. Thank you girls.

I don't think there is liquid Midol or Pamprin but there is a liquid Tylenol. I don't crush my pills but I do split them up because I have had Excedrin get struck. I usually cut each into 3 or 4 pieces and have no problem with it getting stuck.

They make children's liquid motrin that you can try. I have terrible arthritis and take naprosen twice a day. Before having surgery, I discussed this with my surgeon. He explained that the danger of NSAIDS and the band is the fear that the pills will be digested in the upper pouch instead of the stomach. To combat this, he told me to take the pills with some mylanta and chase it down with 8 oz water... no probelms!

Thank you, Elisabethsew! I was wondering about that. I understood the reasoning behind not taking a NSAID in pill form, but I didn't understand why a banded person couldn't take a liquid form with a good flush from Water and perhaps a coating agent (like Mylanta).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
