November Challenge- We have so much to be thankful for!

Welcome to the monthly challenge. November is here and we have so much to be thankful for! This challenge is a fun way to keep track of your monthly weight loss while gaining and giving support to other bandsters.

Copy and post the template below and fill in the information that you are comfortable sharing on November 1st then come back every Friday on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th and the LAST DAY OF THE MONTH --Saturday November 30th and post your updated weight. I will keep track of the weights to get a table listing everyone's results on the following weekend.

Good luck to everyone and remember this isn't a contest it's a challenge and you are a winner no matter how much you lose. The first three items are required all others are recommended, but the last one is the most fun. If you are new to our monthly challenge please leave a short introduction.

Hi there! I've never done this before, so I'll introduce myself. I have been married for 31 years and have one son who is 26 years old, married, and gave me a beautiful grandson 6 months ago. I absolutely adore my grandson and LOVE being a grandma!!!! I am SOOOOO happy I had the surgery and have not regretted it for even one single moment since I had it. My only regret is that I didn't do it at least 10 years ago. My doctor here in Tulsa is great - Dr. Ladd Atkins. I love this forum and everyone on it. It has been a lifesaver during the time before and since my surgery! :)

I'm going to start this month. I'm an old bandster- from '07, getting back on the wagon. Mom to 3 boys, 11 chickens, 1 Rooster and 2 goats in suburban NJ (small backyard farming at it's best). I'm having a back procedure next week- so I'm not envisioning a big loss this month.

      Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
      I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

      Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!
