Wouldn't that be nice to choose ur spots. :) I wear skirts all the time n yes I find them longer. I wear mostly bluejean skirts to my calf n they are getting longer. Lol. They are so big at my waste but my big thunder thighs catch them. Lol

My thighs and my hips are my biggest with my upper arms a close third. But of course that is NOT where I am losing it. My boobs are gone and my waist is getting smaller and my husband says I'm losing my butt. I never had one to begin with. Just a lot of fat, glad to know I am at-least losing it there. I'm down to 279 from 336, so I'm happy. Would like to get to the 260s by thanksgiving but I'm happy with the results I am getting. And I hope everyone else is too. Don't be too hard on yourselves just think where you would b without the surgery! ;)

Yes we will reach it. I just keep it in my head that this time next year I will be closer, if not at, or past my goal. And I think everyone is doing great.

Oh trust me I have had some nice and not so nice conversations with my scale. My youngest daughter, she's 5, goes in the bathroom after I come out to see who I was talking to.

It's 10:00pmEST, thought I'd check out the new site. Yeah, had difficulty too.

Today I received my Fuzzy Navel nectar Protein from Vitacost! I can't wait to try it tomorrow morning for Breakfast. I find that when I have a liquid (protein shake or hot tea or whateva' liquid in the morning, it makes it easier to get in all of my liquids (which I struggle with). Well, signing out. Hope everyone has a great weekend :)

On the iPad app, try clicking on the second to last page, then the last page. It's the way I've been able to see the most current posts in older, long threads.

Hope all is well with you all I can't even open the app on my iPhone heck to get into the web to even see the site. Anyways here's my stats:

HW: 336lbs SW 8/6/13: 302lbs CW: 246lbs

I am feeling wonderful. I have a great support system an awesome man in my life and losing inches. Hoping I can lost at least 10lbs a month from here on out so I can be down to the 150s to 160s as my goal weight! I'm already seeing difference on my body. My back rolls are down to 1 instead of having 3 on each side of my back lol my thighs have gotten way smaller bit they are still frwaking huge lol and lost almost all my boobies!! I'm feeling really insecure about these :-/ my stomach has gotten smaller from a size 24/26 pants to an 18/20 and my shirts from a 2X/3X to a 1X/2X depending on the shirt... I am 10lbs shy of losing 100lbs in total and about 56lbs since surgery! I'm excited to lost about 100more lbs! Time effort and hard work will pay off!

I just figured out the changes that happened in the old rnytalk, so here I am!

I'm 15 weeks out from surgery today and feeling great! My weight loss has definitely slowed, but I bought a treadmill and weight system last weekend which is helping me kick it up a notch. It is so awesome to be able to work out without feeling like I'm going to die any minute.!

I'm attaching a progress pic. Middle is pre-surgery, 298lbs. Left is 1 1/2 wks post-op, 280lbs. Right is a week ago, just over 230lbs.

Join me, August peeps, and show us your progress!!!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
