Hello everyone! I had a laproscopic revision to a 9 year old bypass in the 21st of August. On the 23rd I had to have and open procedure to fix a leak and infection. I have felt miserable for the last month! I keep wondering when I will have more energy? And overall not be on discomfort/pain any longer. Has anyone else had a similar situation?

I had the weirdest dream. Probably a nightmare to us rny-ers. I dreamed I went to an all you can eat buffet that was 2 giant rooms filled with buffet counters with everything imaginable!

Anyone else have any weird post op dreams?

The first week or two I had lots of dreams about food. Now those have been replaced with bad dreams of vatious sorts (which is not the norm for me). Last night I dreampt I had a huge fight with my husband and asked for a divorce. It was awful. I was so relieved when I woke up and he was there to reach out and touch.

In other news, I now have baggy pants legs and butts, but my waist hasn't quite caught up to go down another size. I'm going to need butt implants lol.

Hi everyone it's Linda. I had the Gastric Bypass on August 9' date=' 2013. At start it was hard for me because I was having severe pain in my left side by one of my incision. I told the nurse in the hospital and my Dr. who I only saw 2 time right before surgery and the next day to pull the drainage tube out. I was told that the incision was from the largest instrument being used in that place. Well hours shortly I felt that I needed to walk and get the gas off only to find out that I needed help up and to walk. I was like what the heck. Am I suppose to be feeling this way. Well I stayed in the hospital for 3 day and release. I could not sleep in my bed because it was too soft. I have gel mattress. I had to sleep in my husband recliner. Still needed help to get up and walk. The pain meds would only put me to sleep. When I woke up I was still feeling that horrible pain only when I move. I was released from the hospital on the 12 of August. On the night of August 16 I was in so much pain I could not take it. I went to the hospital where they admitted me. I was dehydrated and had a lil inflammation behind that incision that was bothering me, I had a CT scan done I got iv fluids and antibiotics as well as pain med which was marphin and was not helping at all. The ER Dr. alti the pain meds with Terdal which help me really well. The pain was gone as long as I got the Terdal. When my pain got to a 3 they released me on the 21 of August. The ER Dr. attempted to make contact with my surgeon who failed to call him back was a nightmare. I called my dr. myself at 9:30 am who returned by call at 10:00 pm on the 18. I gave him the information and he failed to call the ER dr. I went home having pain again 6 hours later. I went to see my PCP on the next day as she was not please that I was going through this as my surgeon was not responding. She ran test in here office only to find out that my bowls was backed up. She gave me 2 medication to help with the release. Well it to a week to release them. When I did I was in bad pain from the punching but once it was over I felt much better. Not sure if anyone of you are dealing with Constipation but It seems to be a big problem with me. Any suggestion would help.

I started this Journey back in February 2013 and I thought I was weighing 278 but it was 287lbs when I looked at my chart on my first dr. visit after surgery. My current weight is 232 lbs. I would like to get down to 250-260 lbs. I am losing pretty fast. Some times I get this urge that I am hungry. I am a wife and mother of 3 girls and I have to cook but I wear a face mask because the smell upsets my stomach. I always gets hungry at about 9pm why is that? Do anyone else experience this?

Wow u had a rough time. I to had severe pain in my abd. n I finally ended up at the e.r I waited a while then decided to call my emergency number n with in minutes my dr. called me back n got a c.t n I stayed 3 days, but they said all they could think of is in behind one if my incisions wasnt healed up n every time I move it feels like its tearing me into. but its hurting less n hopefully will be gone shortly. Yes i'm having bad constipation. My family dr. put me on a probiotic ( u can get at Walmart, which u should do) n I take Miralax everyday. If you do that it will help.

My surgery 8-6-13 ill b 7 wks post op Tomoro. I've lost 37lb seems like its slowing down. I don't drink enough. I started 320 in dec. So since Dec over lost 57lb. I just got to start exercising last week due to I had a full open cut due to scar tissue. So ive had some trouble but its gonna get better :).

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
