I'm down 80 pounds since August 30, 2013. Feeling much better since I started exercising.

Most recent progress pics. Just what I needed to see to get through this week of stalling especially since I've started Couch to 5k and have been working out hard. Almost 4 months post op and so happy to be on my way to becoming a happier healthier me!

Hey everyone.. well for my wife and I, it has been almost 5 months since surgery. I am down 102 lb and my wife is down 85 lb.. she has hit the 67% and I'm 54% our surgeon is amazed at our progress.. When you hit 75% you have Reached the surgery success rate.. not your ideal weight but the fact that surgery was successful. Most don't hit that till 18 months out. I'm posting pics hopefully they go through. Lol. We're able to eat most anything. Except tuna, eggs, and milk. Boiled egg in salad seems to be ok. Other than that our lab work has been ok except Iron. So we are taking ferrous fumarate now.. other than that everything else is great. Oh we have also added Biotin because we are def starting to loose our hair.. that is a bit disappointing but hey its the risk you take I guess. Hope everyone is doing great.

Well I love to see everyone doing great!!

I am down 80# today!!! it has been 5mths. And I've still got a way to go but im taking it day by day. I got my ab lounger 2 out of the garage n i'm using it. I hav to be real careful wat I do because of my back. :(

I've increased my Biotin n may have to increase even more because so much of my hair is coming out. I hope that gets better real soon.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
