I am 8 months out and no longer get nauseated and feel great. It will pass and your energy will skyrocket. Took me a good six months to feel normal again, or at least a new normal.

Are you making sure you take your Vitamins and that you get enough Water and Protein? You can also take Biotin for the Hair loss. I don't feel tired...my surgery was 4/1. I actually have MORE energy.

I agree taking your vitamins is parmamount. It should pass and you may want to shake up your diet and eat some different foods....power foods.

My hair fell out at six months and is now growing back in. Biotin didn't help but it does help some people. I am still often tired but not a much as before and occasionally get nauseated when trying new foods but for the most part i feel great! It gets better. You've lost a great deal of weight in a short amount of time and your body is still recovering. Hang in there!

Welcome !!

I'm just 15 days post op but I can tell you my journey so far stayed in hospital overnight didnt have pain in hospital first four days home was painful only because I didn't take my meds. Oh but I learn fast .those four days I wasn't hungry,or thirsty. I had a drain didn't hurt at all one week post op I got the drain taken out, didnt hurt at all it tickled and it was long!! Nine days out I was walking the trail with my buddy two week post op feeling fine incisions are completely heal and no pain stage two of diet going well,Saturday after walking and working in the garden ,this strange hot stabbing sharp pain started about 8:00 pm it got so bad I could only take a step or two took the liquid med from my surgery plugged in my heating pad got a pillow for my left side ,about a minute later I was asleep, but damn that pain was something I never want to feel again.so yes there will be good and bad days, make sure you're getting all the nutrients you need, you want to be thin and healthy ,not thin and sickly. Congratulations on your weight loss.

Hi

Power food consist of Proteins ' date=' Fiber, and carb ( whole grain) high energy foods ie. fatty fish, sunflower seeds, without the shell and salt, dairy product, chicken , eggs , mushrooms, beef ,and Water . Yes good old fashion plain Water nothing added.[/quote']

I totally agree about the water. I used to hate drinking it, but now I am totally addicted to purified water. The more I drink the more I want. No other water will do for me now. Lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
