It is DELISH !!! I mix it up each week' date=' I make one with peppers and onions, another variation is mushrooms and saute' cabbage, I love zucchini so I slice zucchini paper thin, saute a bit with olive oil and garlic. You can get very creative with this. Its quick because I buy the frozen pre-made pie shells, bake them a bit and use about 6-8 eggs and veggies. I don't do meat real well and have no taste for it anymore since surgery but you can put low fat ham or sausage.... really anything you want <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Can you send me the recipe through private message? I know you change it, but would love the basic idea.

Thanks

Samantha

I'm one year out and I have a Breakfast egg pie (1 slice) that has lots of veggies' date=' eggs and cheese. I bake this all in a pie shell and have it all week for breakfast, I just cut off a 1/8 piece and then have a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. My breakfast is very Protein based. If I don't make a breakfast pie I will have about a cup of cottage cheese and maybe a hard boiled egg.[/quote']

You can make this without the pie shell to limit carbs, fat, and calories. Just spray the pie plate with Pam, mix all your ingredients together, pour into the pie plate, pop into the oven, and bake till middle is firm. Time varies depending on the size of the plate and the amount of ingredients.

My brother was a chef at Christy's in Newport RI when I first got married. I begged him to teach me how to make quiche. When he finally did it was amazing how easy and versatile it was. You start with eggs and milk, then add whatever combination of veggies, cheese, and meat that you like. The possibilities are endless... and delicious! :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
