How long till my first fill?

Recommended Posts

I'm 9 days post op. I think I'm entering what everyone calls bandster hell? I feel fine. Feel like I could eat whatever I want but just a reduced amount. Hungry all the time. Not losing any weight right now. Had lost 26lbs. I'm gettin kinda grouchy now. I don't want to feel hungry anymore. I'd almost rather got back to day 4 post op. Lots of restriction, wasn't hungry, I was loosing 2 lbs a day!

I am 16 days post op and feeling the same way. I can eat just about anything and dont feel like I have any restrictions at all. It is driving me crazy and not scheduled for first fill until March 8th. I had lost 15lbs but in the last couple of days, have gained back 4. I heard that this can be common for people who tend to heal fast after surgery.

Hi all - I know it is hard to allow your body to heal but you really don't want to push this...if you are finding yourself too hungry try to focus on getting your Proteins in first - the nutrients from Protein will help keep you feeling full a bit longer.......and drink that Water, drink drink drink!! Even after 2 fills of 1 cc each I am not quite at that "soft spot" and the weight loss is slower than I secretly desired but I still have no regrets.....Stay focused as you have done a great thing for yourself.

I had my first fill 6 weeks after surgery. But I didn't have real restriction to fill 4 or 5. So hang in there. It's worth it.

i had this same problem. when i had my first fill, the doctor told me that i did heal quickly, my swelling went down and that is why i felt no restriction. i am going to need another fill to hit that "sweet spot" but, by the time i had my first fill, i had gained back all of my post-surgery weight loss. my recommendation: just watch it - eat how you know you should, DO NOT eat too much and stretch yourself out. The key to the lapband is the fill. Truly.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
