Today was my birthday... First one ever without cake. I have always had such a sweet tooth it was strange that I didn't even miss it. I'm so thankful for this surgery, for the weight loss and for improving health. Thankful that this surgery will help me have lots more happy birthdays.

Isn't it the best feeling ever?

Had to share...after years of bring told "You have such a pretty face" I was told this afternoon.."You are beautiful Alaina" totally at random by 2 people who recently saw me. Totally brings me to tears telling this. All of this journey once again felt worth it. I'm sorry I'm such a sap but this touched me deeply in so many parts where all that self hate is being peeled away.

I was just thinking about that this morning while at the gym. I have always heard, "You are so pretty!" Well, I am waiting for someone to say, " You are sooooo beautiful! " I will find that man one day!!! Now that I am more confident!
