How much more weight are you going to lose. Which is usually followed by you look too skinny now.

I have been saying well when my body is done it will stop, but wanted some new ideas.

I would say I am trying to get my BMI within the healthy range for my height.

That way you are not revealing any actual numbers. Plus, what a lot of people don't understand is that the reason we are doing this is to get healthy.

I always say I have 5 more pounds... When I get in the 150's I think I'll level out.. Already really starting now.. At 163 I haven't lost in 2 weeks... But it's cool.. I'm liking the way I look

You know this is sorta like the question one might get when they have three or four children and people have the nerve to ask you "are you done yet?" I mean seriously is that rude or what. I had four sons and with each one everyone said are you going to have another and try for a girl, or are you stopping because you know you aren't ever going to get a girl. Well who the heck said I was trying to have a girl. I wanted my children. Sorry for the rant. People are just rude that is all. Nobody asks anybody if they are going to stop making more money or getting better at a talent. But somethings people just have to make their business. Sorry again can't seem to let this go.

I see this all the time. I always say, until I am at my healthy BMI, and then I remind them that no matter what I do, someone will have an opinion.

I have a friend who has lost all her weight, and I saw someone actually have the nerve to say "you look like a skeleton" on her newest Facebook picture. REALLY? She just said something like "well, people complained when i was too big, now they complain when I'm too small. really?" That shut them up really quick.

People are always going to have their own opinions.

I’ve said it here before - I come back with a super personal super rude intrusive question - typically about when was their last BM - which usually makes them all flush red and gets them all embarrassed.

I suppose a less rude response is in order - so i’ll keep watching for someone to be nice...I am not nice sometimes.

I'm still pre op so have no idea, but I totally heard my sisters voice when I read your post. I have only told a handful of people mostly family about the surgery because I don't want to hear any negative and unsolicited feed back. Today someone said "are you sure you want to do this...it's going to change your life forever". Well I hope so! That's exactly why I'm doing it! Just easier to shake your head and move on!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
