Fabulous February Post-Op's

I'm just as baffled. They told me they'd just check it at my 4-month appointment with all my other bloodwork. It doesn't make a damn bit of sense. Oh well. All's well that ends well?

Odd aside: I've lost a grand total of 2 pounds in the past month' date=' and yet in the last week or so people have been commenting on my weight loss again. Are their eyes just finally adjusting to what they're seeing? Am I wearing clothes (baggier or tighter) that are showing it off more? Or did it all just jiggle it's way around so that some parts of me suddenly look thinner?

Weird.[/quote']

I get compliments at the strangest times!!!!! I'm in the throws of frustration be because I've lost 2 pounds in 3 weeks and I hear !omg it's just falling off you now!!!! My theory is it takes time for it all to shift around. I had a day last week where I developed creek bones like over night....totally weird!!!

I get home from a 9 day vacation in the Florida keys tomorrow....longest I've been off a scale in forever. I can't decide what I'll see....eating out a lot, mostly seafood, mostly grilled but we have had our quick sandwich days too which are carb heavy but just had to grab and go sometimes.....also have walked and walked and walked, and swam, and snorkeled.....I think I'll be down a pound or two but we'll see Sunday! (Darn well better poop before then, the vacation has my bowels all messed up). Vacation withRNY was so much nicer than vacation with a fickle band!!!

Things I did that I'd never do before: wear a bathing suit all day, even shopping,no cover-up, wear a strapless sundress all day, wear a tank top with nothing over it.....and they all looked good :). It's been an awesome week.

I totally understand... I really don't know how to shop small. I was so happy not to have to buy some thing with sparked air flowers... That's what all the bigger clothes were like.. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm just happy I had choices. Bought two really cute fitted tops' date=' black walking shorts (not capris) and a really cute robins egg fitted dress with a belt!!!

I just reread my last post... don't you love auto correct on your phone? instead of saying sparked air flowers i meant "buy clothes with sparkles or flowers". It just seemed like those use to be my only options other than yoga pants

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
