I'm noticing more young women getting surgery. I'm wondering if anyone else had it in 50 or 60s and how you did?

I'm 51. I know I will be one of those people who really wishes they'd done it much earlier! I can only go forward from here.

And we will all be here for you anytime you need to talk. Over 50s have successful surgeries, so do 60s and 70s, no reason to believe you're exempt for victory. We wanted it even more than our daughters and grandaughters for we know what a life without surgery is like. So use your Baby Boom gumption for a good purpose-YOU! We will be anxious to see all you can be, cause we think you're dynamite already. So nothing to it but to do it!

I agree completely. We so got this with our strong will and determination. I am here anytime someone would like to talk, vent, soundboard. It is an honor to be in this age group and look forward to our success.

I have a question! Some Surgeons keep you a liquid diet for 3 weeks and and say pureed or soft at 21 days, what is phase in order?

I just found out my surgeon has u on a liquid diet only two days before the surgery! I will be on liquid diet the next two weeks after then purée foods a week and if I’m doing well then regular! I’m so ready surgery is the 7th

I am 53 and I had gastric bypass surgery last week
