11 Days; and I TURNED the corner!

Recommended Posts

Hey all...

For those of you who have read my b*tching and complaining...well - it's over (hopefully for good). Yesterday I hit rock bottom, and there was no where to go but up. Seemed that 11 a.m. yesterday I just said "Self, we're going to get well". I forced Water down, cottage cheese, boullion - MADE myself sip sip sip sip for hours. Not one pain pill. I swear it was the gas pain in the back that was really doing a number on me. Anyway, last night I felt like 'me'...just different.

Woke up this a.m., thought I was ok. Went for my a.m. glass of apple juice, had the Protein shake - then WHOA! Didn't feel too good. Didn't drink for a few hours, as the 'pain the back' returned. Realized that I must be very restricted in the a.m., and I have to be careful. I was actually able to go out and about today! Mom brought me to CVS, where I dropped a ton of $ on 'stuff'...out of boredom at home all this time.

Anyway, I hope that I continue to improve and feel better. Thanks to all who have given me such great advice. You're right; it did get better!:clap2:

Glad you are feeling better. I've been following your story. I guess some of us take a little bit longer to feel good. Hope you continue on the road to recovery. Good job sticking with it.

I'm glad that you are feeling better! When you can eat, later on in the day...do so. Keep your nutrition up. For me, at 17 months out, when I get hungry my right shoulder hurts like gas pains. My sensations of hunger are quite different than pre-banding.

Keep on sipping, drinking your shakes, and on the road to recovery...

Shawn

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Yay!

I certainly felt your frustration, as I was in more pain for quite a time too. I remember thinking, what the heck is wrong with me? Everyone else was recovering, exercising, going to the mall after 3 days? It took me 10 days!

I guess the saying "everyone is different" is so true!

I'm so glad your back!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
