I was told if you subtract the carbs from the Fiber you get the "net carbs" so lets say it says 21 carbs and 11 fiber your net carbs are 10... Meaning only 10 g carbs... Anyone else hear of that???

Yup, exactly how I was told. I SOOOOO don't get enough fiber any more...and my gut doesn't like it :(

I was on a Quest for healthy comfort food recipes last night and found this:

I used a small Mission Carb Balance flour tortilla (80 calories' date=' 13 carbs but 9 grams of fiber so really not bad, 3 grams of protein), about a tablespoon of the avocado sauce and crammed 3 ounces of the chicken onto the taco. It was light and bright and crunchy and absolutely delicious (and the 9 year old loved it). We didn't have ancho chili seasoning so I used lawry's fire roasted chile and garlic seasoning.

Per MFP-1 soft taco with 3 ounces chicken was 263 calories and 26 grams of Protein, 19 carbs but again 9 of those were fiber..... Definitely going on my favorites list!!!

Fish again. I love the fish but I don't know if eating it every day is good. It's my go to meal when nothing else interests me, which seems to be most nights. I bought a couple crab cakes to try tomorrow.

I've been eating alot of fish too. Probably between lunch and dinner 5-6 times a week. I know there's a mercury issue but I eat so little I don't think it's a problem for me. Also I heard somewhere that it can up your ureic acid possibly causing gout. But again I eat so little I'm not sure if it would be an issue.

I had a cheeseburger. I mean...pre op it would have been small...but I ate it. Then felt totally disgusting. I cringed as I stepped on the scale this morning. Ready to take whatever punishment was rightfully deserved after such a gluttonous meal...down TWO POUNDS! That proves that sometimes the scale is going to do whatever it's going to do...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
