There's a trick to it that's for sure ;) deep pan with Swanson's chicken broth on the bottom of the pan the duck up on a rack in the pan tinfoil over ;). This is the best way to keep it tender and not sitting its its own fat duck is fatty ;) I will test bunny it out for dinner tomorrow then and let you know :)

I had 1 oz of cottage cheese, 3 slivers of cheddar....and then *I can't believe I'm admitting this* I then licked the salt off six crackers. I didn't eat the crackers...but that salt was divine. I don't have high blood pressure and salty and savory has always been my thing.

Might I suggest....if you like avocado....mashed avocado, a squirt of fresh lime, and a bit of sea salt (okay how ever much sea salt you want), that solved my salt craving while I was trapped in the land of mush!

Goodness, that sounds divine! I'll totally be eating that tomorrow! I cannot wait to have some real meat with stuff on it. :) I know, it will be a while but right now...I'm craving cabbage rolls!

I'm sorry' date=' I don't mean to sound like a jerk so please don't take this as anything other than general concern for your success but why on earth if you are still on liquids would you try to eat garlic bread? ? I am over 4 months post op and still haven't eaten something like that (I am not holier-than-thou, I have made my fair share of less than perfect choices). And soda? You need to get that out of your house if it is a trigger for you. I know it's hard to change, but if you want any sort of success from this surgery, you need to follow the rules. Not only will you not lose weight but you could seriously hurt yourself eating bread & drinking soda so early out.[/quote']

I LOVE YOU.........get ready for the sphincter police they will lambast you for that comment. I could not agree with you more.....

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
