I wonder if, as we lose weight, the fill is looser, because less fat from surrounding is 'pushing' on it? Because I seem to notice by the end of the month (for the 2 whole months I had restriction), by time next fill came up, I felt back to square 1.. no restriction at all. And I was losing weight those 2 months.

Hey ladies! I've been MIA the last few months. I really need to make sure I log in here more often. Its helps keep me accountable. I've stalled on weight loss, and I was supposed to get a fill on 9/4 but when I went to my appt (I had 2 scheduled) found out the surgeon was out of town, so no fill. So Tuesday I go and get a fill which I hope will finally give me some restriction.

I have a stomach bug tho and haven't been able to keep solids down since yesterday, so today I'm doing liquids. Just hope they stay down  (Yesterday I found myself getting sick 6-8 hours AFTER I last ate)

WoooHooo Tracy!!!!! Way to go girl!!!! You will be in Onederland before you know it! I am SOOOOO proud of you!!!!

I would rip the head off the responsible party at the court house, let it be known far and wide what happen!!! On an up note imagine how surprised Shrek is gonna be when he sees you!!!

I took Kinsey and we went riding for awhile today--it was so much fun!!! My DD wants me to ride to Albq. with her tomorrow and take her to the zoo. It sounds like a lot of fun, and I think DD could use the break, and time away...but that is such a boring drive, it is 3 1/2 hours, and I am going to have to go down again on the 13th, then again on the 16th....for Rick's and my Dad's Dr.s respectively---it makes going for fun not seem so much fun!!! We'll see.

I am like Tracy, yawning my fool head off!

Laura--you going to get to go? DH feeling better?

lilnena sorry you are sick---feel better!

I need to go change out laundry---we are either really clean people or really dirty---good grief there is only 2 of us!!!

Kat

I am just checking in and heading up to bed.

Hi melissa... I'm working on a real job so we can chat... I'm jealous you got to just change depts!

Oh Tracy - imagine your name, ss#, address, phone numbers all being mailed to a random gut with his paperwork! it was a clerical error and never happens.... ironically, it happened again right after this huge fight. You are in my prayers

50 FREAKIN POUNDS...ARE YOU KIDDING ME. TRACY, CONGRATS HONEY. YOU'VE WORKED FOR IT. AND YES...READY FOR THIS...YOUR STILL FRIEND EVEN THOUGH YOUR A SKINNY BIOTCH!

OK...ready for a giggle? I had the worst day at work. 4 min after the last bell, I was crying in the principals office. My class is so low...I am gonna have a really long year. Anyway, 1/2 way through a terrible 2 hour block w/ these kids...I send the email below to the 2 counselors. I laughed so hard 10 min ago when I re read it. Can you say "MELTDOWN". My mom, my period and my class...Bad Day! But this cracked me up. You can feel the desperation.

Hello Gentlemen:

I need HELP. Do you have any really really smart TA's available 6th period? From 12-1? I have such a LOW group, they are using fingers to add 2 + 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not take another behavior child, I have plenty of them. Please, I am pretty desperate here. An example of my class: I wrote that I wanted them to do numbers4, 5, 6, and 7 from page 455 in the book. I talked and explained and gave plenty of examples. Ready for this... Many used (4, 5, 6, 7) as the numbers to find the mean, median and mode. They used 4, 5, 6, and 7 AS THE DATA SET. And the kicker...it took 20 min to do it. I am not exaggerating. If you have some smart TA's...please, I REALLY NEED HELP!

Pamela

Anyway, that just cracks me up. and even funnier was Bob's reply. He asked,

"Do you need 4,5,6 or 7 of them?"

What a day. Goodnight to all my skinny biotches!!! I love you all!

Oh, Pamela...I feel for you. Honestly, i can't even imagine in my wildest dreams being able to teach. There is a very special place in Heaven for you, my dear. The UPside to all of this is that you get to take credit for how much they improve over the year and that must be an amazing feeling!! I'll bet $100 that you're one of the favorite and best teachers at that school...I can just tell. It's pretty amazing that there's not a high percentage of teachers that are hooked on Valium....:D

Good Saturday Morn, Violets~~

NSV this a.m.... "shopped" in my closet & "purchased" a denim jumper that was crammed at the bottom of a big pile of old stuff/stuff that didn't fit... was a bit nervous to try it on... didn't want it to *still* not fit!... but it does!... one might even say it's a bit on the big side!!... I know I was bursting it at the seams the last time I remember wearing it... I'm just glad to have something "new" to add to my clothing rotation... I imagine that the folks I see regularly -- at school, soccer, poms, PTA, the neighborhood, the grocery store... -- are sick of seeing me in the 3 or 4 outfits that comprise my "regular" clothing rotation... I know that I am! So it's nice to be able to add in something old that's new again... for me AND for them!! :D

((hugs)) Pam... when your supervisor wrote back that response, did you reply simply "YES!" ??

Today is dd's first pom performance!! + ds has a soccer game and dh is riding in his first bike "race" (a metric century ride)... and me? I'm just coordinating it all!

Make it a great day, everyone!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
