It's hard yo believe 3 months ago I was 22-24's. I an going to try on this time and start with 12's knowing I probably need 14's but you never know I an still on a rapid weight loss week losing still about a pound a day. Don't know what I an doing different but I am not changing it lol

I'm very disappointed in my results so far. I had my surgery on November 20th and I am only down 35lbs. I wish I knew what was wrong with me. It seems like everyone else on this site has lost 50 - 60lbs or more. I only dropped 7lbs in January. I plateau every couple of weeks and won't lose for 2-3 weeks at a time. I work out 5-6 times as week! I've dropped a couple of sizes in my tops and bottoms, but the weight is not coming off. What are you all doing that is allowing the weight to come off so easily? I wish I knew what I was doing wrong. : ( I am so depressed and almost wish I never had the surgery.

Don't be discouraged. It will happen. I had to up my calories to start losing again. The inches I am losing is amazing. It's what has kept me going. If your working out that much u may need more calories/water/protein. I am 10 wks out and have. Lost 46lbs. Listening to everyone else I could be a little sad, but we are all different and I would have never ever lost this w/out the surgery this fast or changed my eating/thinking/living habits the way I have. Stay positive! If u aren't happy w the scale then measure

That is a good point! I forced myself to back off the scale because seeing a .1 loss was driving me nuts... now I've been stuck gaining and losing the same 3.5 lbs and I want to scream... then I remember how much better clothes are fitting! I know I'm losing inches so I have to count my blessings. Again, without the surgery I never would have dropped over 50lbs this quickly! None of us are going to suddenly wake up at our goal weight so until then at least we have each other for support. We will all get there together!

I am ten weeks and I'm battling to hit 40 since surgery. I'm almost there. I have a meeting with my Dr tomorrow so I will see if I get any advice. I know they want me at about 900 calories a day and 70 grams of Protein. When I get the protein in I seem to lose. My calories are around 750. If I can get in more exercise I'll up my calories.

Please let us know what they say. I went back to the liquid diet for a week to lose 2 lbs and as soon as I eat anything I stall out. Actually as soon as I started eating soft foods I stopped losing. My calories are under 900 which is what I was told also and most days I exercise enough to actually create a negative count for the day. My protein levels are around 90-100 daily the only thing is I'm still lacking a cup or two of Water. I've lost lots is inches from 24w to 16w and 41 lbs I'm getting really really frustrated.

Honestly I stall all the time . I just came out if a stall. It sucks I tried everything nothing gave for me. Then it just starts up like nothing. Everyone is different when it comes to losing . I've lost 65 as of today and its frustrating at times I feel like I'm doing something wrong on my stalls and I feel like pulling my hair out . It passed just stick to your dr instructions and it will come off

Well i started at 415 I'm not sure how heavy you were but it seems like to me the bigger you are the more you lose initially. I try to eat veggies cooked in meat stock, rice, and salad that's mostly what my diet consists of. I dont do well with meat at all ! Besides walking a few times a week i dont exercise. i know its bad but i dont like to front on here like i know some people do. Lol it will get better just exercise more and make sure to eat so your body wont be in starvation mode

Sylvia, You are not alone. My exercise sucks. I WISH I had the motivation to zumba everyday for an hour like I see people on MFP. Sigh... I do the best that I can and I am getting better! baby steps

But that's why I won't up my calories unless I get in exercise that day. There has to be a balance so my body doesn't freak out. It has a habit of doing that. I knew the exercise would be the hardest part of my journey. Just keep at it. ;)

I have to talk myself into exercising everyday. Sometimes it's an argument! Def a struggle still but once I start I just keep going and when I'm finished I feel so much better like I accomplished something and have more energy for the rest of the day. Since dropping some weight it is easier for me now to move lol I don't see myself doing anything 40 pounds ago. I still don't get the diet/ calorie thing if I'm burning over 3500 calories a week and eating less than what I burn with a resting metabolism shouldn't I at least be losing the pound a week for the 3500. My body just hates me! Grrr.

OK, saw the Dr. yesterday. At this point about a 1/2 cup of food is where we need to be at and she said not to push it for more at this point (I wouldn't but good to know). She also said that averaging 2 to 2.5 pounds per week at this point is pretty normal. I was not thrilled to hear that but then she said in a lot of cases the weight loss can pick up around three to four months out. Weird. I guess your body adjusts again. So, I guess we are all doing pretty well and COME ON MONTH THREE!! LOL

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
