Feeling Lost...

Recommended Posts

I am struggling with managing school, home and WLS. I did good the first week of school, made sure I brought enough Protein, I worked out 3 times at the gym that week. And here we just ended the second week and I feel like a failure. I have slacked off on the protein, on the working out, even my homework. I am thinking it's contributed to my PMS, but now I feel anxiety coming on about managing everything in life. How do yall do it? The ones who are months and years out. I am almost 11 weeks out. I bought the book "Before & After, Living and Eating after WLS" but it hasn't come yet. I am thinking I need to buy the WLS for dummies book, I sure do feel like a dummy. :(

Awww sweetie don't feel lost.... you go thru lots of emotions after surgery. I posted on a earlier topic, I had a affair with food and after surgery I felt a big loss, but it passes. Once I started seeing the good changes my body was going thru and that I was fitting into my smaller clothes again it was like a high. As my exercise increased and I could start to jog/run that even made me feel better. It all takes time... you are only 4 wks post op, I am 6 months post op and have been feeling great for the past couple of months. Your body is going thru some major changes, physically and mentally and you need time to adjust.

Please.... continue to take your Protein it is esentail to your health right now. And the exercise is a MUST it will make you feel better (endorfins sp?) are like crack to me - LOL Do things that make you feel good/happy.

I feel overwhelmed somedays just thinking about post op., seems so many things to get in in a day and take care of other things, One step at a time. However you do it, this is important for you to do for you, Make that time and other things will fall into place. Just break it down into smaller steps. And don't be hard on yourself. Some things won't get done, but that is ok. But you come first. Please remember that. Because when you are healthy it will benefit everyone and everything in your life.

Ok. Here I'm : college faculty, doctoral candidate, mother of two beautiful high schoolers & a wife. Am 6 weeks out & am feeling great & doing great. Time management is ur key word. I work out at my university gym at 6:30 am 4 days a week. Then start my day. I bought a 20 oz Water bottle to make sure I get enough Water everywhere I go. And I pack my lunch to school. It's doable

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
